We have two fêtes per year – at the beginning of June and November. The parents and friends of our residents as well as the general public are invited to browse around, buy and enjoy. Most of the items on sale come from the arts and crafts departments and from the bakery, and include woodwork (toys and furniture), arts and crafts (decorated duvet and pillow covers, tea-tray cloths, cards, etc.), needlework (clothing, quilts and household items), knitting (tea-cosies, scarves, etc.) and refreshments (lemonade, olives, chicken pies, rusks, etc.).
The Summer Fête will take place on 4 November 2017 from 8:00 till 13:00 at the centre. We invite you to share in the fun, and by doing so, support a good cause.

Celebrate life dinner
A group of our country’s top and prize winning chefs, Maritz Jacobs from Longridge Restaurant, George Jardine from Jordan Restaurant, Grégory Czarnecki from Waterkloof Restaurant and Michael Degg from Delaire Graff will team up this year to create an exceptional dining experience for a limited group of guests. They donate their time, the ingredients and make their restaurants available in support of Horizon House.
With dishes complemented by some of the Stellenbosch district’s most superlative wines, and music by talented local musicians this is a truly memorable experience every year.
